Of Mice and Men: Question 7

November 4, 2009
Deconstruction for the protagonist:  The main character in Of Mice and Men would be Lennie.  He is very simple in structure, only having very minimal amounts of characterisitcs.  Throughout the novel his character and viewpoints do not change, his innocent nature makes him an easy target for Curley and company.  Lennie is a one-dimensional, flat character.  No depth is given, and in almost every scene where Lennie is used, the detail of him liking to pet soft creatures is almost always brought up.
